Bishop Creek Canyon offers some of the best fishing in the Eastern Sierra. The crystal clear waters are stocked by the Dept. of Fish & Game and businesses in the canyon pool together to get monster trout from Oregon and Idaho. South Lake and Lake Sabrina are renowned for their variety of Rainbow and Brown Trout. North Lake and Intake II are also great spots to cast a line. Public launch ramps and boat rentals are available at both lakes.
With more than 25 miles of creek, fishing in the canyon has been known to produce large trout ranging from 6 to 8 lbs. Between lures, worms, or flies, the trout are always biting.
The lodge is nestled in the midst of the Inyo National Forest, which provides easy access for hiking. Trails for all levels of hikers lead off into trees, lakes, meadows and streams. Gorgeous wildflower displays, brilliant fall colors, and spectacular views of granite peaks provide memories for a lifetime. Maps and information for the backcountry are available at the resort.
